I started Aspyr Fitness in 2017 after a successful career working as a data analyst consultant for a number of international brands. I always wanted to be a personal trainer, however, I felt I had to pursue a corporate career. During this time I competed at triathlon, as well as kept up with my love for adventure sports (windsurfing, kitesurfing, skiing, snowboarding and wakeboarding).
After 15 years working in IT, I finally decided to retrain as a personal trainer and I have not looked back since. I soon realised that I needed further knowledge, which led me to my sports massage, vinyasa, yin and rocket yoga, standup paddle boarding and snowboarding qualifications. Just prior to the pandemic in 2020, I decided to push my luck and applied to the Health Sciences University for their Masters of Osteopathy degree course (a 5 year degree and masters). I was lucky enough to be accepted and hope to graduate in June 2025.
I work with a multitude of patients, from weight-loss, to strength training and rehabilitation and adapt plans according to the client’s goals, available time, fitness and life-style. My methods involve:
listening to what you want
outline a plan based on your consultation
agree on how you’ll execute your plan and adjust as you reach benchmarks
measure results
I keep it simple. Change one thing at a time, measure for 4-6 weeks and then make another change.
